I won’t not reblog this. Mateo is a personal friend of mine and this needs more attention than it’s been getting. He was dragged out of the room by his collar, the police wouldn’t let him use his wheelchair.
Mateo will not be silenced, and he will not be erased.
My little brother and I were swimming and my dad walked out and said “it’s trash day tomorrow you know what that means” and my brother looked at me dead in the eyes and said “it’s time for you to go.”
This is a list of every mass shooting in the United States so far in 2018. The number is huge. Gun violence is a very real problem in our country, and if we don’t all come together to do something about it NOW, then it will just continue to get worse. Children go to school every day, and it’s getting harder and harder to expect that they will be safe there. Schools, concerts, and even more public areas are not safe to attend anymore, and it will not get any better if this country continues down the path its on. Voting is on November 6th, so please, please go and cast your vote for the people who will help stop this terrible problem. If you have the time, read through the list. Remember that THIS IS NOT NORMAL. It should matter when people are murdered, people should care. You can make a difference in the way this country is run and how people act in it.
